The whole entire thing is a joke. I can accept this. It’s really quite funny actually. A bit slapstick, but with this subtle dry wit to it. Fair enough, I can laugh with the best of them.
Over the past two days I have been to no fewer than three events with people I hardly know. Many of those people have no clue who I used to be, because the shinier and faster and sleeker and more aerodynamic and, let’s face it, better me is now a prevalent part of my everyday life. An internalized minor change that has pushed parts of my great personality to the forefront. Also, I’m getting good at eye contact and speaking before I think.
Right now, I’m feeling pretty good. There are still a lot of things to look forward to and too many things that I look back at. But right now, I’m “semi-OK and that’s a whole lot better than I used to be yesterday.”
I’ve been remiss in my keyboard practice. I still haven’t had official band practice on drums and I’m only in town for 9 more days. So much to do! But here’s a song for angry times.[audio:donproject/anger62109.mp3|titles=ANGER|artists=The Don Project]
