This is where new band news would go. Not too much news since 2007, I'm afraid.

we're playing at the nectar in fremont with cougar and fires to the east. this will be our last 21+ show, as we have sworn off "bar shows." doors at 9, you want to catch the other bands on the bill as well, as they rule.

look, the role playing game theme just wasn't working for me. i feel a new need for us to be more in line with our political values and role playing games are basically just wastes of time. are we wastes of time? is that what we represent? i hope not. so i wasted a few hours be redesigning the website. again. i hope you like it. be sure to get a non-microsoft browser so it looks decent.

i got bored. i'm a nerd. therefore, new website design. based on 1/2 the band's favorite or second favorite rpg which is loosely based on the lord of the rings trilogy. if you find spelling errors or 404 errors, please let us know. be sure to check out the videos page, too. enjoy the site!

special thanks to all those that showed up at el corazon last night. it was a fun show with a great line up. stalin's war was awesome and made me miss santa cruz a bit. fall from grace showed us how to work a crowd. and kane hodder melted our face off with rock power. plus, all the bands were really nice.
we're headed south tonight for a couple shows out of town and some camping adventures. i can't imagine a more positive feeling to leave with. see you out there.

that's right, the writing, recording, mixing, and mastering process is complete. the cd's are being duplicated now and should get back to us by 8-10-06 for us to assemble and then sell. each cd cost us about $4.08 to produce. we'll sell them locally for $5 and ship them for $6. look for a fancy online purchasing system soon.
cd's will first be available at our 8-10 show at el corazon with kane hodder, fall from grace and stalin's war. that show will rule. see you there!

Hello all. We've got some super shows coming up. Check out the show on December 10th at The LAB. We're playing with Woke Up Falling, The Four Colour Process and You May Die in the Desert. A great lineup, in my opinion.
Also, we're playing a benefit for The Forgotten Children's Fund in Olympia. If you're in the area, you have no excuse not to show up. Or maybe you do. But I'll scold you anyhow.

Thanks to everyone who made our house show a success. I'm glad we had enough pasta for everybody (although maybe not enough plates), and I'm glad so many people could make it. Mostly I wanted to thank Woke Up Falling, who came all the way here for the sole purpose of rocking our socks off. We were all blown away. We're seriously considering having it be a regular deal, having house shows more frequently. We're also talking about having it be all-ages, or at least sometimes, but that means that we can't have any alcohol. That's fine with us, but some bands/fans might have a preference. If we get an overwhelming amount of feedback one way or another, we'll go with it. So, write in and let us know: all ages shows, or shows with alcohol but no kids?

Ok, I have to apologize to everyone that I invited to our show who is under 21. We talked about it, and came to the conclusion that we don't really have enough control over substance use here. So, while none of us drink or use drugs, it is conceivable that someone might come by and happen to have something on them, and the police might happen to break up our show and discover a controlled or illegal substance on the premises. In the unlikely case this occurs, and there are minors present, it would be very bad for Don, who is a public school teacher, and he could lose his job. So, the bottom line is, we can't have any minors over for our show. I'm really sorry I told some younger people to come by, because we have to have a 21+ age limit. We're trying to get an all-ages show in April, and if we can manage it, we'll post the information here as soon as it's official.

Just so that _everybody_ knows, we've got some shows coming up listed on the "live shows" page. Of course. Also, we're in the process of re-vamping our studio. That means turning it into a vampire. Again. We'll be putting some new songs up when we get it all set up, and when Kawabata gets back from jolly old UK. And when we're not playing shows. So, the end of the month, or early January, maybe.

Ok, hey, I finally got a job. And go figure, it was the competition to my old job. Yes, Sonic Boom Records, Capitol Hill location. Orpheum used to be my base of operations, and since they closed down last summer, I've been a bit less reachable. However, now you can hang out with me any Tuesday, Saturday, or Sunday, at 514 15th Street East, Seattle. You know, like, if you want to talk about music, or pick up our latest demo, or buy used records, or bring me pizza. Or say hi. Hi!

Regretably, it's true. It's estimated that Orpheum Records will be closing its doors by the end of the month, possibly as early as the 15th of June. But I wanted to give something back to all our customers who have been so awesome over the years, so Exempli Gratia will be playing a free show on Sunday, June 15th, at approximately 7:30 pm. We'll have free refreshments and tons of super-cheap cd's. Come help us go out in style! And if you've never checked out the totally awesome record store where I've worked for the last four great years, this is your last chance. Orpheum is located at 618 Broadway E. in Seattle.

What's shaking kids? We played another show last night, this time at the Central Saloon in Pioneer Square. This was our first show at a bar, so that was kinda funny. Crowd was minimal but enjoyable, and the soundguy was awesome. I think we played the shortest set of all the bands, but thats ok. In any case thanks to those that put this show together, hopefully we'll have some all ages shows this summer. ok, that's all, bye for now...

As many of you know the US has started its attack on Iraq. For me personally, it is the manner in which the US is pushing this war that troubles me. Through propoganda (like CNN) and fear (the roundup of 100's of US citizens of Arab decent) our government is waging war on a nation that has been subject to embargo and violence for over a decade. In my opinion this is a war against any who would stand up to the biggest bully on the block, namely the United States. We follow those laws we agree with, and break those we disagree with. We act in defiance of the United Nations Security Council and alienate and attack all those who would oppose us. Please visit Not in our Name for some very important information and facts, including how YOU can get involved with letting our government know that our Cowboy President does NOT represent America. So it has been a little while since this has been updated, so here is what we have been up to in the past month: We have set out recording most of the rest of our songs. We have been writing some new songs, two of which are getting close to being complete. Hopefully in the next week there will be some new mp3's available for download. Thats all for now.
