skantraceptives, mind candy, skacepticons, exit177

like a true band should, the ians and i all brought our girls along to this show. it's just too bad that the show was a little dissapointing. mind candy and the skacepticons decided that they wouldn't come to this show but apparently they forgot to tell the people that were having the show about it. so it was just us and the skantraceptives, double duty for ian skawabata, you know. if you have ever played in a big gym without any monitors to speak of, you know how much it sucks. if you haven't, then imagine trying to listen to what you play about a second after you play it. in a gym you can only really hear the echo off of the walls. it kinda sucks. but the crowd seemed to be having a good time of it anyhow. too bad that the skatepark actually lost money on this show since no one came out to see it. i guess there isn't all that much support for a skate park in monroe. they'd rather be milking cows or something i guess. some members of the skantraceptives vowed never to return to this venue, i'm not so sure i share the same sentiments. i'd play a show just about anywhere, though.
