summer 1998 sometime
exit 177
someone's house northwest of our houses.
i think the crowd numbers topped out at fifteen and then i told them i had a girlfriend and the crowd dwinled back down to the standard 4 or 5. we got this show through iank. who knew the person who organized the party from working at the science center. we set up in the basement and played with their cd player while we waited for the show to start. there was a cool disco mirror ball thing and one of those multicolored light ball things too, it was pretty interesting. so we played a bunch of songs for about an hour and then got a sandwich. it was good. (the show, not necessarily the sandwich). i was going to tell you what songs we played, but i can't seem to find the piece of cardboard that we used as a set list anywhere. that's okay it was rather unintelligible anyhow, since ianj. wrote it in phonics (more or less). the most memorable part was when the hippie girl was doing the hippie dance to our rendition of blink 182's "dammit" (we thought a radio song might be in order for this show). apparently there are some pictures of this show that rhia took, but i don't have them and probably never will. so there.
don's summary:
our performance rating: pretty dandy
overall show rating: i like parties at people's houses
