the more i listen to alternative music on the radio stations that play it here, the less sincerity i hear. i can only find true music in "underground" scenes like some emo, hardcore, and punk bands. this is a complaining song about this lack of truth in alternative music (at least, as i see it). music, in my opinion, should be an expression of truth, an expression of self, not just a way to earn a living. i have always found that the music i enjoy most is not necessarily played by the most talented musicians but is always straight from the heart. i hope this is what we do in our band.
