I just finished reading Love Rock Revolution and I think I should do something. I thought of all the bands who I've played with or heard in my 20+ years of really listening to independent music and I thought about the truly DIY, the truly independent. There's some good stuff out there that many people missed because they didn't have a label.

Now, in the tweens of the new century, you don't need a label. Make a video and post it to youtube and you're a published artist. Some have claimed that this is to the detriment of modern music, but I claim that this is the goddamn best thing ever. There are now infinity bands and music projects. Some of them are even pretty good.

So, I think I'll write up some stuff on some bands that have self-released or internet-released their music. No labels, no worries. Let's see how it goes.
