This weird western is too full of ideas that missed like I always did when trying to shoot an enemy.

Well, this is definitely a game from another time. It feels like a remaster of a game from 10-15 years ago, when Diablo 3 was about to end the isometric action RPG genre for everybody, but a little bit shinier. There seem to be a lot of good ideas in here, like an ability to make quest-destructive choices, the multiple-character journeys, and generally just zombies in the wild west, but all of the ideas don't make this game less annoying. Aiming is terrible, seeing where you're going is awful at every zoom level, the mini-map is too mini, your party (posse) is too stupid not to die, and inventory management is the scariest thing about this sort-of-horror game. I forgot all about the magic part of the character's abilities, probably because I was too busy trying to figure out how to aim, reload, and change weapons fluidly. Ugh.

Somehow I put 80 hours into this game but I think I might have left it on pause by accident once or that is a bug because I gave up after the first journey. It looks nice and the audio ambience is pretty correct but playing it is a slog. I think there might even be a decent story in there somewhere but the cutscenes never stuck with me, the written dialogue didn't click, and the stereotypical old western narrator was ignorable.

Overall, spend your time elsewhere. if you want a western themed game, just play RDR2 like everyone else.
