Cute lil' birds and a chill co-op romp.

KeyWe is in the modern couch co-op cadre of games like Overcooked and Movin' Out but stands out from those games as it won't make you get a divorce or have your little sibling in tears. It is a puzzle-solving adventure starring two Kiwis working for a remote Australian communications outpost. They work together to send out mail, packages, and telegrams while earning different collectibles and outfits that they pay for in stamps. Very accessible to players of varied skills, the puzzles are good for nearly any pair to play.

While the graphics are pretty rudimentary, they get the job done. Sound design and music are all fine and fit in the world. You're not going into this game expecting a big-budget experience, you're just looking for a few hours of shared gameplay with a level of challenge that won't incite anger between you and your partner. KeyWe gets that job done. The puzzles are generally mild but increase gently in difficulty as the game progresses. If you spend some time on the "overtime" puzzles, they can get a bit repetitive if you play them enough to unlock the outfit pieces (the music rhythm game one was not fun for us after about 5 rounds). A bit of added exploration and challenge was finding the collectibles strewn about the levels and usually they were mildly comical in their reveal process. We were surprised there was no "Spring" levels and wished that unlocking outfit pieces was a bit faster but this game was a good time.

In general, a lighthearted game that anyone can play and a solid choice for a friendly couch co-op session.
