We choose how we feel.
Published 11-16-2008 on my old wordpress blog.

I went to a funeral on Saturday for a co-worker’s wife. I thought about making a list of the songs that should be played for my funeral. I thought about how empty the room would be. I thought about my parents and how their funerals will be. I thought about my Grandpa’s funeral. The preacher tried to convert us all to x-tianity, but he just solidified my continued path towards secular humanism. How we determine our own lives, not some deity.

I choose not to think about that stuff anymore. I want to remember only the best thing that has happened to me this year. It turns out that YouTube has a couple videos about it.

If anyone has more videos of the Hot Water Music show at the Roseland Theater on 9-6-08, please let me know. Particularly of crowd videos that show me getting beat up in the mosh pit.

Sorry about the funeral…
I had never been to a funeral/memorial before until last June when I went to an old friend’s… it was surreal.

If you like this page, you can buy me a coffee.
