Tonight (well, tomorrow morning) is the peak of the Perseid meteor shower. It’s always been my favorite meteor shower as it was always the one I tried to get people to go watch but they never did. Ian K. and I watched it from the driveway of his house once. I went to the school behind my parents house with some high school girlfriend and watched it once. Tonight (or tomorrow morning, i guess), my BFF and I are headed to Port Townsend to watch the festival of lights from the safe confines of Fort Worden. She’ll be attending the wedding of our union president the next day and I might go do calculus on the beach. Or in an army bunker. Maybe I can calculate why we need armies in the first place.
